I started transitioning to cleaner beauty products when I was pregnant with my oldest over seven years ago. It’s remarkable to see how far the industry has come since then. I now especially appreciate clean beauty stores that curate & research products to take a lot of guess work out for consumers. Here are some of my long time favorites
Cleansers
I’ve been a long time fan of everything One Love Organics. I’ve gone through at least a dozen bottles of the Botanical B Enzyme Cleansing Oil. It acts as a make up remover and first step in a double cleansing routine. It exfoliates & softens my skin instantly and is great for drier climates. I usually follow up with one of Indie Lees cleanser. I like the soothing cleanser for a gentle cleanse that feels squeaky fresh.
Make Up
You can’t go wrong with anything made by Kosas. I’ve been a fan of their lipstick for years (rosewater is a personal favorite shade) and have collected nearly every shade. It’s so buttery soft and the pigmentation is just right. The tinted face oil is perfect for light coverage and the brightening concealer stick is an every day essential. I love RMS for their simple, clean beauty choices and use their eye shadow daily. I’ve always found it harder to find clean options for eye liner and brow pencils but ilia & ecobrow fit the bill.
Skincare
Josh Rosebrook can do no wrong in my book. The active enzyme exfoliator works wonders and the tinted SPF moisturizer has been a favorite of mine for years. I love Indie Lee x TAOS aer clean deodorant. It has the loveliest scent and works just as well as aluminum based deodorants.
