Boca Grande, Florida is a charming coastal town on the Gulf of Mexico. Known for its beaches, crystal clear waters, and historic landmarks like the Gasparilla Inn. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing beach vacation or an adventurous outdoor experience, Boca Grande has something for everyone.
My family and I snuck away to the Gasparilla Inn for spring break and absolutely fell in love with its history and old Florida charm. My kids loved the playground, grabbing ice cream in town and splashing around in the beach club pool! This is truly a must-add destination for all ages – we certainly cannot wait to go back!
A Perfect Day at the Gasparilla Inn:
I would wake up and grab a pastry and coffee at the picnic basket next to the inn or a stack of pancakes in the main dining room. Bike to the tennis center for a round of pickleball before heading to the beach club for some fun in the pool. Enjoy lunch at the beach club followed by a long beach walk searching for shark teeth. Head to the Inn for tea time and a round of backgammon before returning to your cottage to shower and get dolled up for dinner in the main dining room ending with a nightcap at Bz’s
One of the best things about the Gasparilla Inn is its location, the hotel is situated in the heart of Boca Grande’s charming downtown, just steps away from the town’s shops, like Fugates, J.McLaughlin and many many others. The food scene is also fabulous, a few notable recommendations are Scarpas, Miller’s Dockside and the infamous Pink Elephant! I also love that the island is small and very walkable but most people opt for bikes and golf carts!
