Vegas is a hop, skip, and jump from Los Angeles which makes it really easy to visit for a night or two, sans kids! My husband and I try to go out once a year to see a show, grab some amazing food and enjoy the city. We always stay at the Waldorf Astoria as it’s one of only two hotels on the strip that doesn’t have a casino. I love it because you get all the perks of Las Vegas but it feels like a retreat from the nonstop action on the strip. We will usually drive out Saturday morning, do all the things, and head back Sunday. Here’s how I would spend 24 hours in Vegas!
Las Vegas is the city that truly never sleeps. It’s full of bright lights, energy, and excitement that will keep you (dancing) on your toes from dusk until dawn. Whether you want to try your luck at the roulette table, catch a spectacular show or indulge in some of the best dining options in the world, this city has it all. Vegas is only a four-hour drive from LA which makes it a great weekend getaway! Trust me, 24 hours is the perfect amount of time to explore and take it all in!
A late morning wake up at the Waldorf – trust me, this property is a welcome retreat from the hustle and bustle of the casinos – and head to brunch at Sadelle’s in the Bellagio. After brunch, mosey on over to the Bellagio’s famous fountain and enjoy a bit of window shopping in the designer boutiques – they have it all. As the afternoon heats up, it’s time for a dip at the pool and a fun cocktail. Après sunshine, change into a fun outfit for drinks and a round or two of blackjack at The Wynn before heading to dinner at 2 Michelin-starred Mizumi. Post dinner, grab a seat for a Cirque du Soleil show or an artist that is in residency! Continue the evening with a drink, late-night snack & cabaret show at Delilah at the Wynn, and finish off the evening with a nightcap & incredible strip view at The Waldorf’s Sky Bar. Bonne nuit!
