These are the staples I reach for again and again, the ones I bought years ago (or would still buy years from now). Some pieces just get it—the ones you reach for over and over, year after year, because they just work. They’re effortless, timeless, and always make you feel put-together. These are my elevated everyday wardrobe essentials—the classics I swear by.
Clothing
Pair of Jeans – You only need one perfect pair. A classic straight-leg or wide leg in a versatile wash that looks just as good with a tee and sneakers as it does with a lady jacket and ballet flats. A white jean is also a must!
White T-Shirt – The MVP of my wardrobe. Crisp, classic, and perfect with literally everything. The key? A good fabric and the perfect fit. I have loved this under $20 one for years!
Raincoat or Trench– Because bad weather shouldn’t ruin a cute outfit. A chic, lightweight trench or raincoat in a neutral color keeps you dry and polished.
Jean Shorts – The ultimate summer go-to. A great pair of denim cutoffs (not too short, not too long) instantly make any outfit feel easy and cool. These are mom approved and look incredibly flattering, I would even snag them in white.
Skirt – A dreamy, romantic skirt that works for everything from brunch to date night. Doen just gets that effortless, vintage-inspired look. I love a white but the black lasts a few more seasons.
Lady Jacket – My go-to for when I want to feel instantly put together. It’s polished but not stuffy—perfect with jeans, a tee, and ballet flats.
Button Down – A classic in any closet! Dress it up or pair with leggings and sneakers. It’s the most versatile piece.
Sweaters – Cozy, classic, and always elegant. A cashmere sweater in a neutral and a fun color are a forever piece—you’ll wear it now and still love it for years to come. I have always been a fan of a nautical stripe. I also try to add a few other cuts of sweaters to my wardrobe like a short sleeve or cardigan. And a wrap is a must for traveling and adding that extra layer.
Shoes & Accessories
Ballet Flats (Margaux) – The shoe I always come back to. Feminine, comfy, and effortlessly chic—whether with jeans, skirts, or a lady jacket (more on that below!).
