I’be always enjoyed planning for trips, especially the packing part! Creating a packing list for a place with a distinct character while keeping a timeless style is truly enjoyable. This week my family and I are headed to New England and I am excited for slower days spent in tidal pools, eating lobster, and many hydrangea walks!
I am not sure if many of you know that I spent most of my childhood in Maine so it is always special bringing my littles back to experience the magic of New England. It’s funny how your roots dictate your style so much later in life. While I shared my summer travel packing guide earlier this month – here is a glimpse into what I packed in my suitcase for our trip to New England!
If you are headed to coastal Maine any time soon make sure to check out my travel post from two summers ago. I shared all my favorite spots for eating, shopping, and exploring all the charm these coastal towns have to offer.
What I Packed in My Suitcase
I am breaking down every item in my suitcase down to the basics. Many items are always in my suitcase trip after trip (like these socks and underwear). I try and pack everything in a carry-on with a large tote for toiletries and overflow.
During summer I find myself gravitating to dresses daily, I find them easy to throw on and go! They’re even more necessary when dressing with a baby bump! This midi is a new favorite but I also packed this linen one from last summer that was restocked. I love that I can pair them with sneakers – comfortable and a pop of color. I always try and make sure I also have a few hats or visors within reach as well as comfortable sandals.
