I just LOVE a refreshing spring cocktail and will take any excuse to whip up a batch of muddled berries and mint with a splash of gin! Think of it like a gin and tonic but with all the flavor of lemons, blackberries and mint. And to make it even more fun, all of the accessories from Mark & Graham are so cute for a spring bar cart!
Here’s how you can recreate this recipe at home!
Ingredients:
- 4 Meyer Lemons
- 1 small crate of blackberries (about a dozen berries)
- 1 box of mint leaves (you’ll need about 5 sprigs)
- 1/3 cup Agave or a homemade simple syrup
- 8 oz Gin, vodka or tequila
- Sparkling water or Tonic
- Champagne
- Ice
Directions:
- Freshly squeeze 4 Meyer lemons. I love this press to quickly squeeze without the mess.
- Muddle a big handful of blackberries (10 or so) and the leaves from 5 sprigs of mint into a mortar and pestle.
- Add lemon juice, agave, blackberry, mint and gin (or vodka) to a cocktail shaker and toss in a few ice cubes. Shake thoroughly.
- Pour into a pitcher, add sparkling water or tonic water and stir.
- Fill each glass with ice and divide the mixture up divide mixture from shaker. I topped my drinks off with a splash of champagne.
